SURWEB - State of Utah Resource Web
SURWEB was originally conceived as an image and data archive creating virtual field trips to the many national parks and national monuments in Utah and was funded through the U.S. Department of Education's "Challenge Grant" program. However, through the invention of it's "Media Basket" technology, SURWEB allows students and teachers to create multimedia presentations in minutes using images/sounds/data they find on the internet. The software is housed at the SURWEB site, so there is nothing to download ... Best of all it is FREE!!! The online tutorial takes about 45 min to go through.. users must get and ID and make up a password to save their work, but these too are free and easy to get. Once their work is saved they can access it from any computer, anywhere that has internet access, regardless of OS platform Mac vs. PC
