On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin, from the Apollo 11 spacraft, became the first human beings to ever set foot on the moon.Between that time and December1972, the United States sent a total of seven Apollo voyages to land on the moon, all but one of which was successful.
